PC BACKUP USING EXTERNAL DRIVE

Backing up PC using external drive is the most common and complex way to do backups. This is also the oldest form of backing up documents. Though, backing up data’s using clouding system is the easiest and safest way to do backups. Bellow are steps you need to take to do backups using external drive.

STEP ONE



 Get an external drive that has enough memory space to accommodate your documents

 STEP TWO


 Plug your external drive USB cable to your computer and wait for a few seconds for your computer to  acknowledge the device. After installation your computer will notify you that your device is now ready to be      used.

STEP THREE

Go to my computer, the external device should show up their if not, then the device has not yet been recognized by your computer. All you have to do is to remove and plug back the USB cable.

 STEP FOUR

 Create a folder in the external device and name it my backup.

STEP FIVE


Start moving the documents that you needed to backup into the backup folder you created in the external drive.

 That how easy it is to do backup using the native methodology. You can easily restore back you documents by transferring the backup folder back to the computer that you needed to restore your documents to.
